Inspired by the Ibero–American culture of sharing, LuLo Tapas, Cerveceria & Wine Bar invites you to experience food that encapsulates the traditional flavours of Spain & Latin-America with a contemporary twist. Matt Waldron, owner and Head Chef, will take you on a journey through the two exciting cultures, both of which have been exchanging ingredients and enriching each others’ cuisines for more than 500 years.
Opened in October 2006, LuLo is an exciting Tapas bar where you can enjoy wine, beer, cocktails or just “tapeo” (eat a variety of tapas). If you have more time, settle in for a true dining experience where our team of chefs will carefully prepare a delicious degustation of our favorite tapas for your guests to share.
This buzzing restaurant literally glows at night with its passion for great food and wine. The international team of chefs at Lulo create a varied selection of traditional food with a modern approach on the flavours of Spain and South America. The fresh, cutting edge food is perfectly balanced in a menu which changes seasonally, inspired by the latest fresh produce and techniques to hit Melbourne. Every night, our chefs enjoy carefully creating a blackboard of specials as an addition to the menu, expertly blending flavours and textures using a mixture of seasonal flavours to delight the senses.
As implied in our title; Lulo specializes in wine and cerveza (beer). The word Cerveceria literally means ‘beer emporium’. Lulo can certainly be described as an emporium with an extensive wine list containing varieties from Spain and South America, and a diverse beer list including more than 20 Spanish and Latin American beers. A popular feature of this list has been the Estrella Galicia lager on tap – with Lulo being the only place in Melbourne to offer this Spanish beer on tap. Lulo is also now offering an exciting cocktail menu, ranging from the traditional to some of our own contemporary Spanish-style creations, designed to captivate any drinker’s taste!
